The following parameters represent supported configurations. It may be possible to run PortSight Secure Access on other system configurations too, but this is not supported by the producer.
For running PortSight Secure Access in your ASP.NET applications, you need:
Computer with one of the following operating systems:
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional SP4 with MDAC 2.6 or later installed (you may have already installed it with Microsoft SQL Server or its connectivity tools already).
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server SP4 with MDAC 2.6 or later installed (you may have already installed it with Microsoft SQL Server or its connectivity tools already).
Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2
Microsoft Windows Server 2003
.NET Framework 1.0 SP3 or 1.1 SP1
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or MSDE 2000 (configured for "Mixed Mode Security")
Microsoft Internet Information Services 5.0 or 6.0 and ASP.NET 1.0 or 1.1 installed for running the PortSight Secure Access user interface.
Internet Explorer 6.0 is required only when you use included user controls.
Microsoft .NET Framework SDK or Visual Studio .NET 2002 or Visual Studio .NET 2003 on the developer's machine. Visual Studio .NET 2002 or 2003 is required if you want to view the HTML Help 2 documentation integrated into Visual Studio.NET.
Graphic adapter with at least 1024x768 pixels resolution and 256 colors.
50 MB free disk space.
For viewing of the PortSight Secure Access user interface, you need:
Microsoft Windows operating system with Internet Explorer 6.0 installed. If you don't use Secure Access user interface and don't use Secure Access user controls in your application, there are no special requirements for the client operating system or browser.
Import of user accounts from external sources (available in the Enterprise Edition only) is supported from the following data sources:
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Domain
Microsoft Active Directory on Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003 Server
ODBC database.
