The following typographical conventions are used in this book:

Italic: Used for filenames, directories, emphasis, and first use of a technical term.
Constant width: Used in code examples. Also used for Java class names and bean names.
Constant width italic: Indicates an item that should be replaced with an actual value in your program.
Constant width bold: Used for user input in text and in examples showing both input and output.

Indicates a tip, suggestion, or general note.

Indicates a warning.
